 cs – the “habits of mind” that help students become mathematical thi
 nkers. There are eight standards\, which apply to all grade levels and con
 ceptual categories. These mathematical practices describe how students sho
 uld engage with the mathematics content for their grade level. Developing 
 these habits of mind builds students’ capacity to become mathematical th
