 This session is designed to 
 provide the participants with a diverse repertoire of instructional strate
 gies that will engage adolescent students in a manner that promotes critic
 al thinking\, technology\, and creativity. The presentation will be conduc
 ted in a three-tiered layered style. The first layer will consist of provi
 ding participants with research-based information about student engagement
  and motivation of adolescents. In the second layer\, the participants wil
 l participate in hands-on activities directly related to the areas of tech
 nology\, critical thinking. In the final layer\, the participants will par
 ticipate in a reflection that will allow them to synthesize the informatio
 n they have learned and share best practices with their peers.
