 The Code of Ethics for Educators defines the professional behavio
 r of educators in Georgia and serves as a guide to ethical conduct. The Ge
 orgia Professional Standards Commission has adopted standards that represe
 nt the conduct generally accepted by the education profession. The code de
 fines unethical conduct justifying disciplinary sanction and provides guid
 ance for protecting the health\, safety\, and general welfare of students 
 and educators\, and assuring the citizens of Georgia a degree of accountab
 ility within the education profession.
 “Educator” is a teacher\, sch
 ool or school system administrator\, or other education personnelwho holds
  a certificate issued by the GaPSC and persons who have applied for but ha
 ve notyet received a certificate. For the purposes of the Code of Ethics f
 or Educators\, “educator” alsorefers to paraprofessionals\, aides\, an
 d substitute teachers. 
 There are 10 Standards.  You are encouraged to
  study them in numerical sequence of 1 to 10.  Learning these standards c
 an give you the knowledge of actions to avoid that could result in the for
 feiture of your certificate to work in schools.
 This last module for the
  ethics modules also has a comprehensive quiz over all 10 Standards.  Bec
 ause of the importance of this aspect of your role in schools\, you should
  strive to make a score of 100.  (You may use your notes and repeat the t
 est if you desire.)  A certificate of completion will be issued when a sc
 ore of 100 is attained.
