1887.6 Resource, Gordon, Integrating Mentor Texts into Units of Study Sessions: Grade Two

The children’s literature selections were chosen to supplement the Writing Minilessons  in Lessons from the Masters, Improving Narrative Writing (Grade 2, Unit 1, Narrative) and A Guide to the Writing Workshop, Primary Grades.  Suggestions for the Mentor Texts listed below are integrated into the Minilessons. Page numbers for Lessons from the Masters, Improving Narrative Writing are included for ease of locating the writing techniques and skills and the relevant portions of the lesson.
