26R. 6568, GADOE, Supporting the Requirements of SB 351 (July 2025)

One key priority for every Georgia district in 2025-2026 is meeting the requirements of SB 351 – Protecting Georgia’s Children on Social Media Act, which took effect on July 1, 2025.

 Key Focus Areas of SB 351:

•  Adoption of district-wide social media policies
•  Combating cyberbullying in schools
•  Promoting responsible digital citizenship

To support districts, the Georgia Department of Education has partnered with Parent ProTech to provide free access to digital safety resources for all families and staff.
