1887.2 Resource, Gordon, Integrating Mentor Texts into Units of Study Sessions: Grade Four

The children’s literature selections were chosen to supplement the Writing Minilessons  in The Arc of the Story, Writing Realistic Fiction (Grade 4, Unit 1 Narrative) and A Guide to the Writing Workshop, Intermediate Grades.  Suggestions for each of the Mentor Texts are integrated into the Minilessons. Page numbers for The Arc of the Story, Writing Realistic Fiction are included for ease of locating the writing techniques and skills and the relevant portions of the lesson.
