Several models for co-teaching are examined with pros and cons listed and a sample lesson is demonstrated for different models.

The School Leaders Pre-Conference provides an opportunity for principals, assistant principals, instructional coaches, grade level chairs and department chairs to review and discuss the new Georgia Mathematics Standards, engage in purposeful work to plan for the implementation of the new standards, and network with other school leaders from across the state.

Connecting Digital Literacy to Sound Pedagogy

This PowerPoint is about making learning, and specifically, reading, an active process increases comprehension and recall. It looks at providing opportunities for students to think, respond to questions and the information itself, to mark (annotate) or make notes, and to interact with classmates through discussion. Discussion can take place with a talk partner, in a small group, and/or with the whole group.

Seeing so many schools spending money reinforcing students for replacement behaviors, we decided to research what students really desire and we found the reinforcements they sought were not tangible at all. They are wanting relationships with the adults in the school through Privileges, Attention, Leadership Opportunities, Praise, Assistance with a Task, Touch through high fives, Escape from a few tasks (like five free problems on today’s assignment), and we added supplies for those students who do not have the money or the family member to retrieve school supplies they need.
