The PL will cover the suite of tools provided by the Georgia Department of Education; SuitCase, Inspire, and Velocity. The training will be hands-on with the software so be ready to login and explore the DOE's software. After exploring content standards in SuitCase we'll move into Inspire to explore lesson templates that include interactive resources, differentiation recommendations, and student supports. Once you see the resources available in Inspire we will create our own in Velocity. Velocity is a student learning platform with engaging activities that use research based, cognitive science and gamification to boost student learning. Did I mention that these are collaborative platforms? You'll be able to share and copy each others activities to modify and use in your classrooms.
Materials You'll Need:
Laptop
Access to SuitCase, Inspire, Velocity through SLDS and My GAPreview
Assessment Activity (worksheet, quiz, test)
Lesson Resources (article, website, PDF, Doc)
