 Join educators from across the state for a half-day of professional learning focused on the vital role pollinators play in Georgia’s economy and ecosystems. This engaging workshop will provide teachers with ready-to-use resources to seamlessly integrate pollinator education into their classrooms. After a morning of interactive learning, enjoy lunch before meeting a beekeeper who will share firsthand insights into the importance of pollinators. Then, take a trip to a local blackberry farm, where you’ll see pollinators in action and learn directly from farmers about their impact. Plus, you’ll get to pick fresh blackberries to take home! Each participant will leave with a classroom resource bag filled with materials to bring pollinator education to life for their students. Don't miss this unique opportunity to connect agriculture, science, and hands-on learning in a meaningful way!

Join us for the Pollinator-Palooza Professional Learning—a sweet opportunity designed especially for K-5 educators! Begin the day at the Heart of Georgia RESA in Dublin, GA, where you’ll dive into engaging, STEM-integrated activities and explore exciting resources provided by the Georgia Council on Economic Education, Georgia Farm Bureau, Georgia Public Broadcasting Education, and UGA Extension. We’ll conclude with a delightful teacher field trip to SonRise Farms in Dexter, GA, where you’ll have the chance to pick delicious blackberries to take home. Each participant will receive practical lesson resources, a delightful children’s book, special goodies, a scrumptious lunch, and a complimentary pint of fresh blackberries. This will be an unforgettable day of learning and fun!

9 WEEK SUMMER BOOK STUDY

 Dr. Kim Ward will facilitate an online book study in Summer 2025. Virtual meetings ill occur on Tuesdays from 2:00-3:00. Two chapters will be read before each session. Participants will learn strategies to foster deeper student thinking and engagement in math. Participants will need to purchase the book Building Thinking Classrooms by Peter Liljedahl. 

This will be the monthly meeting of the Heart of Georgia RESA Board of Control. 

This is a monthly job alike meeting for SES/SIS Specialists.

This meeting will be a time of sharing products and discussion of the research.

This is a time for sharing of research and reporting in to the group.

Teachers will break out into working groups to discuss one of the four domains. After becoming their domain’s experts, teachers will come back together as a whole group to share their understanding, allowing everyone to piece together the full standards framework collaboratively.

This session will provide K-12 teachers with an opportunity to explore the updated standards, share instructional strategies, and co-develop lesson ideas that promote literacy growth.

The new statewide RESA Literacy Coaches will have initial training on providing school level assistance for literacy coaches onsite.

 Teacher Keys Initial Credentialing (TKES) is the required professional learning for new school and district leaders who will use TKES to support and evaluate all Georgia teachers of record, grades Pre-K through 12. This one-day, 5.5-hour virtual training will provide leaders with content and skills for implementing TKES with fidelity. To become fully credentialed in TKES, participants must complete and pass the TKES Credentialing Assessment within five days of the virtual training. Upon passing the assessment, leaders may begin supporting and evaluating teachers with TKES.
Important: To access the credentialing assessment, leaders will need access to the platform using the district’s Student Information System (SIS).

This one day, 4.5-hour virtual training will provide leaders with content and skills for implementing LKES with fidelity. To become fully credentialed in LKES, participants must complete and pass the LKES Credentialing Assessment within five days of the virtual training. Upon passing the assessment, leaders may begin supporting and evaluating school leaders with LKES.

Dr. Connie Howell will meet with a teacher at Bleckley Success to coach in the area of school climate.  These meetings will continue bi-weekly.  Some meetings may be online.
