This is a regularly scheduled School Improvement Meeting.

The Georgia Department of Education English Language Arts content team invites leaders throughout the state to join a virtual professional learning series to prepare for the implementation of Georgia’s K-12 English Language Arts Standards. Important updates will be provided monthly to support leaders. There will be time set aside monthly for attendees to ask questions pertaining to the standards. These sessions will not be recorded, and registration is required.

Audience: All Curriculum Directors, Program Specialists, and Content Specialists

Who: The RESA Network and the Georgia Department of Education

What: Bimonthly virtual calls for updates, networking, and specialized training for curriculum and professional learning leaders through a partnership between the GaDOE Office of Teaching and Learning and your statewide RESA network

When: Beginning May 29, 9:00-10:00 followed by calls every other Wednesday

Monthly meetings are scheduled until June 2025 on the third Wednesday of each month (excluding June 19, 2024) on topics of interest for GaDOE-listed Alternative Schools' leaders and their points of contact.

  This training is designed for teachers or administrators that participate in tribunal activities. A homework assignment is required in addition to the lecture portion of the course. Each participant that completes the course will receive a certificate which certifies them to serve on a tribunal or to conduct disciplinary hearings.

This will be a time for sharing successes as well as concerns.   The purpose of the job alike sessions is to develop a professional network for resources, solutions, and fellowship.

Join our Improving Outcomes series as GaDOE staff focus in on a variety of topics and supports including effective PLCs, Tier 1 instruction, and sustainability of practices. School and district leaders will learn about key best practices as they work to improve outcomes for Georgia’s students.

School and district leaders will review effective sustainability practices to optimize staff and student outcomes. 

This is a monthly meeting for Wrap Around Specialists.

LETRS® for Administrators enables leaders to effectively support educators as they engage in the LETRS course of study and work to implement the learnings in their classrooms. LETRS for Administrators is a professional learning opportunity designed to guide state, district, and building administrators and instructional leaders in creating adaptable and suitable literacy initiatives using systems thinking and implementation science. The program defines the systems and infrastructures required to successfully implement a sustainable literacy program aligned to scientifically based research.
